Commercial developments currently underway in the centre are being built to house a combination of corporates, banks, retail and government agencies - bringing the promise of up to 15,000 workers in the CBD by the end of 2017.

The hum generated by a revitalised city centre is also spilling out into adjacent suburbs such as Addington. Now home to media outlets, corporates, cafes and restaurants, Addington has seen the migration of approximately 6000 office workers from their former CBD locations to new office premises built since 2011.

As a result of all this activity, Christchurch is currently one of New Zealand’s top locations for investment.
